About Us

The mission of DuPage Area Moms is to empower mothers to connect with and support each other while working towards a greater good for all mothers through local community service. 

• To educate our members via programs, events, and speakers that are exciting and inspiring, and engage our members in meaningful interaction with one another. 
• To provide opportunities to explore our identities beyond our role as mothers, enhancing our sense of self. 
• To foster relationships within our community by providing opportunities to give back to mothers in distressing circumstances. 

EVENTS FOR MOTHERS 

We feel it is important for moms to have some “grown-up time” dedicated to moms only. Moms’ Night Out events range from workshops to guest speakers and from causal movie nights to painting lessons. There are social events, like our fully catered Holiday Party or Mother’s Day Brunch. (Other social events, like our Halloween and Summer Picnic, are designed to include the whole family.) We also have a “playgroup” for moms only, called Seasoned Moms, that meets during the school day. Finally, our Book Club is a very popular opportunity for moms to come together for conversation and laughter. Members are welcome to attend as many events as their schedules allow. 

EVENTS WITH OUR CHILDREN 

Playgroups are great ways for moms and their tots to mingle. Whether it is at a member’s home, a nearby park, or a play center, these are wonderful opportunities to get out and meet friends. Mom and Tot Outings explore child friendly locations and activities in DuPage County like 2 Toots Train Whistle Grill, SciTech, and Cosley Zoo, plus tours of facilities such as Danada Equestrian Center and a fire station.
