OUR MISSION
The mission of DuPage Area Moms is to empower mothers through community support for mothers, enabling connections among them and active participation in local philanthropy initiatives. This collaboration fosters a greater good for all mothers and encourages moms organization membership to enhance these valuable efforts.
Membership
DuPage Area Moms recognizes that mothers often go through feelings of isolation, stress from parenting, and a struggle with their personal and professional identities, as well as guilt regarding their work choices—whether they’re pursuing a career or taking a break to care for their children. This highlights the importance of community support for mothers, as women need supportive connections with other moms. We encourage you to join our moms organization membership to find that essential support.
Kid's Clothing Resale
Revenue to support our charitable purpose was primarily raised through our children's clothing and toy resale fundraiser, which was run entirely by volunteers and fostered community support for mothers. While we have successfully contributed to various local philanthropy initiatives, we are not holding a resale at this time. We encourage moms organization membership to continue supporting our mission.
Philanthropy
Philanthropy is a priority for us. A portion of our resale proceeds funds a scholarship for a mother going back to school at the College of DuPage. We are proud to support a fellow mom who is working hard to take care of herself and her family. In addition, we support local, nonprofit organizations that align with our mission.
